Green Land Coffee Plantation was born in Myanmar, also founded by U Sai Wan Maing in 1999. The cultivation of the coffee plants is usually carried out in large commercial operations. Green Land cultivated Arabica coffee varieties from Costa Rica T-8667, T-5175 and Kenya SL-34 in Pyin Oo Lwin, formerly Maymyo, a scenic hill town in Mandalay Region, Myanmar, located in the Shan plateau at 3800 feet above sea level. Green Land is one of Myanmar’s largest coffee plantations, with over 600,000 coffee trees grown on 700 acres.
Green Land has earned the Outstanding Coffee Growing Award from FAO in 2003. Arabica Coffee is one of the highest quality coffee beans which are low in caffeine with high acidity and great flavor. Arabica beans grow best in high altitudes and are the kinds of beans Costa Rica grows exclusively. We focus on the product’s quality and believes that great coffee beans are fresh and superb in its flavor and aroma.
Green Land Coffee Plantation won the 1st place in the 2nd Annual Myanmar Cupping Competition which was held by the Myanmar Coffee Association, Winrock International (Myanmar) and Coffee Quality Institute CQI, scoring 87.08.
